Founding cohort · iOS beta · Colorado

A handful of homeowners
get in first.

Highground Claims keeps a water-damage claim organized — every document, deadline, and conversation in one place. It’s in private beta with a small group of Colorado homeowners who are in a claim right now.

Access is by invitation, issued one at a time after review. There’s no open signup link, and slots are limited on purpose: a cohort small enough that every tester gets a real conversation.

This is for you if

  • You have an open property insurance claim, water damage or similar.
  • You’re in Colorado.
  • You use an iPhone.
  • You’re willing to talk for 15 minutes a week.

It isn’t

  • A law firm, an insurance company, or a public adjusting firm.
  • Legal or insurance advice, or a valuation of your claim.
  • Anything that negotiates or acts on your behalf.
  • Finished software — you’ll find rough edges, which is the point.

The claim details are optional, but they’re what gets read. Where you’re stuck tells us more than anything else on this page — and if it isn’t the right moment for you to test, that context still helps us build for the spot you’re in.

Where are you right now?
Ballpark numbers help us see the gap (optional): what the repairs will actually cost vs. what your insurer has offered so far.

HighgroundClaims is a self-service educational tool — not a law firm, insurance company, or public adjusting firm, and nothing here is legal, insurance, or public-adjusting advice. Please don’t include policy numbers, SSNs, or addresses. Privacy notice

How access works

Five steps, in order. Nothing later happens until the step before it does.

  1. You apply

The form above. Claim details are optional, but they’re what the review actually looks at — carrier, where you’re stuck, what you’ve been offered.

  2. A person reads it

Every application, individually — not a filter, not a form-scorer. Slots are limited and go to homeowners who are mid-claim right now, because that’s the only way to find out whether the app helps under real pressure.

  3. You hear back either way

If there’s a fit, you get an email with a TestFlight invite issued to your address. If it’s not the right moment — claim closed, wrong state, no iPhone — you’ll be told that plainly and stay on the list.

  4. Install TestFlight, then the app

TestFlight is Apple’s free app for testing pre-release software. Install it from the App Store, then open the invite on your iPhone and install Highground Claims from there.

  5. A 15-minute call to set up your claim

Walk through your claim basics, your Colorado deadlines, and forwarding your first claim email. After that the app is yours to use.

What we ask

  • One 15-minute call a week, so problems get found while they’re still fixable.
  • Tell us when something is confusing or wrong — a screenshot through TestFlight is enough.
  • Use it on a claim that’s actually open. Hypothetical use doesn’t surface real bugs.

What you get

  • Free for the first six weeks of the program.
  • $39/month after that, locked for as long as you stay subscribed.
  • A response to anything you send, same business day.
  • Your data exported on request, any time, no lock-in.

Once you’re in

Improvements arrive on their own — most fixes reach your phone without a new download from the App Store. When one is ready, the app shows a small “Update ready” prompt; tap restart whenever it suits you.

Found something broken? Take a screenshot and send it through TestFlight, or email nick@highgroundclaims.com. You’ll get an acknowledgment the same business day.

Questions

What does it cost during the beta?

Nothing for the first six weeks. After that it’s $39/month, and that price stays yours for as long as you stay subscribed. There’s no free trial after the beta — this is the only way in at that price.

iPhone only?

For now, yes. The beta runs through TestFlight, which is iOS-only. Android isn’t scheduled.

I’m not in Colorado. Can I still apply?

You can, and you’ll stay on the list — but the statutory deadlines the app tracks are Colorado-specific, so the cohort is Colorado-only for now.

My claim is already closed.

Apply anyway. Closed claims aren’t a fit for this cohort, but reopenings and supplements are common, and we’ll know how to reach you.

What happens to what I put in this form?

It’s stored so applications can be reviewed and so you can be contacted about the beta. It isn’t sold or shared. Email privacy@highgroundclaims.com and it’s deleted.

Can I leave?

Any time. Export your claim data first — summary, ledger, or full JSON — and it’s yours to take with you.
